About About Time Snow

In Lower Southampton a storm announces itself first over the Neshaminy — the creek goes silver, the wind swings around, and the hollows along Bridgetown Pike begin quietly filling in. About Time Snow works that hour, when Bucks County is still dark and a plow blade is the only thing moving on Bustleton Pike. Driveways get opened wide enough that a car can swing out without a second thought, walks come clean down to the pavement, and lots are cut back to their painted lines before the first shift arrives. Salt goes down on the slopes where freeze and thaw like to lay glass overnight. The reward is small and exact: a porch light switching on over a drive that is already done.
