Graehling's Lawn and Landscape

About Graehling's Lawn and Landscape

Up at the top of the township the oaks of Boyd Big Tree stand where the farmland gave out and the mountain began, and in mid-October the color runs downhill from there into every yard below. Graehling's Lawn and Landscape works with that calendar rather than against it — mowing and trimming through the green months, mulching and cleaning up beds as things wind down, then plowing and salting once the ridge starts throwing snow at the valley. Landscape work here is mostly about proportion: a lawn cut to the right height, a bed edged to a true line, a walk cleared wide enough to actually use. The pleasure is in stepping back at the end and finding nothing left to fuss with. Winter or summer, the township looks better for it.
