Mist lies on the Delaware bottomland at Martins Creek most summer mornings, and it lifts about the time the first mower fires. Logan's lawn and landscape works the river side of Lower Mount Bethel, cutting lawns that run out toward the fields, edging where turf meets gravel, and trimming close around barns, posts and the old fence rows. Beds are mulched, and brush that has pushed in from the margins is cut back to something a yard can live alongside. Fall means leaves off the grass before the first heavy frost pins them down for good. Along this stretch of river the properties are wide and a mowing line shows for a long way, which is reason enough to keep it honest.
