About Fotta's Landscaping

November leans on the ridge of South Mountain and the village of East Texas goes quiet early. Leaves come off, cleanups close out the growing season, and the plows get hung — because the first storm in Lehigh County rarely bothers to announce itself. After that it is drives opened, walks cleared, and salt on the slick spots before the buses run. When the thaw finally takes hold, mowing begins again: weekly cuts, trimming, edging, the grass brought back to an even line. Two halves of one year, both of them spent outdoors on the same familiar streets.
