About Dirtgrasssnow Enterprises

Winter finds Lewis Township early: the ridges take the first snow of the season and hold it long after the valleys have let go. Dirtgrasssnow Enterprises runs the plow through it — long rural driveways opened end to end, turnarounds cut wide enough for a delivery truck, walks shoveled, salt where the shade keeps ice all day. Out here a driveway can be a quarter mile of gravel with a hard bend in it, and clearing one properly is its own small piece of work. Storms come over the ridge line and pool in the hollows, so the job is often two or three passes rather than one. The township and the valleys around it make up the route.
