About Bruno's Ground Care Inc

The Kiskiminetas makes a long, patient bend at Leechburg, and the hills lean over the water like they are listening to it. Bruno's Ground Care Inc works both directions of that grade — plowing the pitched drives and the flat river lots while the porch lights are still burning, then coming back in June to mow, trim and edge the same ground. Winter travels up the valley here rather than falling straight down, and the shaded north-facing streets hold their snow long after the sun has found the ridge. There is a plain kind of pride in blacktop scraped bare by breakfast, and in a lawn cut straight enough to read from the road. Salt goes down on the walks in January, the mower lines go down in July, and the seasons trade places without anybody in the house having to think about it.
