OLeary And Sons

About OLeary And Sons

A coastal storm announces itself here long before the first flake — the wind swings around, the sky over Kulpsville turns the color of pewter, and Lansdale settles in to wait. OLeary And Sons is out in the middle of it and again at the tail end, plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walkways and steps, spreading salt where the melt will refreeze after dark. Nor'easters drop wet, heavy snow that leans on everything, and the second pass matters as much as the first. Banks get pushed back far enough that the next storm has somewhere to go. Morning comes, and the only white left is out on the lawn where it belongs.
