About Jason Ottinger Hardscaping and Landscaping

Stone holds the weather differently than grass does — a flagstone patio in Langhorne warms fast in October sun and glazes over first when the temperature drops at night. Jason Ottinger Hardscaping and Landscaping works both surfaces through the year: mowing, trimming and cleanups while the season allows, then plowing, shoveling and salting walks, steps and driveways once it does not. Winter here is rarely one long freeze; it is a series of arguments between rain and snow, and the salt goes down wherever the shade wins. There is craft in clearing a set of stone steps properly — down to the tread, treated at the nose, safe in slippers. Come spring the same hands are back trimming the beds along them.
