About Foraker Landscaping Inc

By January the wind coming off Lake Luxembourg has an edge to it, and everything east of Langhorne — driveways, walks, the shaded north side of a house — holds its ice longer than it should. Foraker Landscaping Inc works that stretch of winter: plowing driveways, clearing walkways and steps, salting the slick shoulders where the sun never quite reaches. The best storms to work are the quiet overnight ones, plow lights swinging across empty streets, the whole town asleep behind the sound of the blade. There is a particular pleasure in the last driveway of a long night, finished square and clean while the sky starts to go grey at the edge. Then it is home, and the shovels stand by the door until the next one.
