About Kevin's Landscaping Service
Between four and six in the morning the Oregon Pike belongs to plow trucks and nobody else, and Kevin's Landscaping Service is somewhere along it with the blade down. The route runs house to house through Neffsville and the streets off it: driveways opened wide enough to back out of, walks cut to the door, salt on the shady apron that would otherwise still be white at lunch. Lancaster storms often finish overnight, which means the whole job is a race against alarm clocks. The reward comes at daylight, when a street of cleared drives shows the storm off as something already handled. It is undramatic work with a very visible result, and that combination is hard to beat.
