Shirk Excavating

About Shirk Excavating

Winter in Maxatawny Township asks for room: gravel yards, equipment lots, the wide aprons in front of shop doors. Shirk Excavating turns to snow removal once the ground freezes, pushing lots clear, stacking banks well back off the entrance, opening drives that a pickup alone would fight all morning. A yard buried flat at daybreak and left with clean lines and room to park is the shape of a good day. The Kutztown fairgrounds sit quiet under snow half the season, but the rest of the township still has to load, unload and be out the gate by seven. That is the job — the snow moved far enough that nobody thinks about it again.
