Local Lawn Service

About Local Lawn Service

Out along the Lincoln Highway east of Lancaster, Kinzers sits in country where hay is still cut in long open fields and the light hangs late over the tobacco sheds. Local Lawn Service keeps the yards in that landscape looking as deliberate as the farms around them — mowing on a set rhythm, trimming close to posts and foundations, edging the walks, and clearing the yard when the leaves come down. There's a pleasure in the pass that finishes a lawn: the last stripe laid straight, the driveway blown clean, the whole place suddenly reading as cared for. Summer here is humid and generous and the grass never stops asking; the answer is simply showing up. Kinzers, Gap, Paradise, White Horse, Compass and the farm lanes between them are the rounds.
