SWARD

About SWARD

A sward is an old word for an expanse of short grass: something people walk across every day and almost never name. SWARD takes that as the whole assignment in Kennedy Township — mowing, trimming, edging, and seasonal cleanups aimed at a single outcome, a lawn worth crossing barefoot. Early in the morning, before the sun clears the hills above the Ohio, dew makes every mower line visible from the porch steps. Keeping those lines true on ground that tilts three directions at once is a skill that shows up only in the result. Kennedy Township and its bordering townships and boroughs make up the working map.
