About B&K Excavating and Landscaping, Inc.

Snow comes into the Bald Eagle Valley on a wind that runs the whole length of it, and by three in the morning the drives around Julian are drifted wherever the ridge lets go. B&K Excavating and Landscaping is up in that hour, plowing before the first alarm clocks sound in Unionville and Port Matilda, cutting each drive back to its true edges and stacking the banks where they will not blow straight back in. Walks get shoveled, steps cleared, and salt goes down on the ice that the valley's morning shade never quite lets melt. Route 220 keeps Centre County moving; what happens between the road and the front door is the part somebody has to do by hand. A cleared drive at first light is a whole day made possible.
