About Servmate

The lots along Scalp Avenue in Richland fill up by nine, which means the snow has to be gone by six. Servmate runs that pre-opening shift: plowing the parking rows down to pavement, cutting the entrances open, scraping the walk in front of every door and laying salt behind the blade. Storms in this county rarely stop when it would be convenient, so the rounds simply repeat as long as it keeps falling. A business that opens on time in a February squall generally has somebody's headlights crossing the lot hours earlier to thank for it. That is the shift Servmate signs up for each winter.
