Empire Materials

About Empire Materials

A loaded truck idling in the dark above the Conemaugh is its own kind of promise. Empire Materials answers snow with weight and grit — plowing driveways and lots, opening the way to doors and loading areas, and spreading salt where the freeze and thaw of a river valley turn pavement to glass. Johnstown sits low and cold, and what melts at noon comes back at four. So the job is never one push but a watchful series of them, storm through storm. Come morning, the way in is simply open.
