About Danchanko Inc.

Three in the morning on the old mill flats out toward Franklin, and the streetlights are just orange smears in falling snow. Danchanko Inc. is out in it — plow down, lot by lot, driveways and access lanes opened, entrances squared off, grit worked in where the tires will need it most. Johnstown has always run on shifts, and somebody has to make the shift possible. By the time the first headlights swing in, the pavement is dark and the piles are stacked out of the way. Nothing else about it needs saying.
