About Matt's Lawn and Landscape LLC

Between the last frost and the first, Johnsonburg gets a short, vivid green — the Clarion running clear, the Allegheny hills leafed out, grass coming up fast because it knows how little time it has. Matt's Lawn and Landscape LLC works both ends of that year: cutting, trimming, edge work and cleanups while the growing lasts, then plowing drives, clearing walks and putting down salt once the ridges start holding white. Up here the changeover is abrupt rather than gradual, and the trick is having the route and the equipment ready before the calendar admits anything. A lawn cut clean in July and a driveway opened at five on a January morning, for the same houses on the same back roads. Around Johnsonburg, Ridgway, Wilcox and St. Marys, that is the shape of the work.
