About Carefree Lawns Inc.

Summer in Carbon County comes in green and close, the hills above Jim Thorpe holding their leaves right down to the roofline and Mauch Chunk Lake lying flat as glass most mornings. Carefree Lawns Inc. works the yards tucked into that landscape — mowing, trim work, edging and seasonal cleanup on lots that rarely sit level and never sit square. A hillside lawn takes reading before it takes cutting: the pitch, the wet corner, the bank that wants a different height than the flat. Done properly it looks effortless, which is the point of the name and the pleasure of the work. Grass even, borders sharp, a mountain-town yard that keeps its shape right through the season.
