About Gregg Betti's Landscaping

Jessup keeps its houses close and its yards modest — front squares of green between porch and sidewalk that people take in every time they pass. Gregg Betti's Landscaping mows them on a rhythm, trims the fence lines and hydrant strips, and edges the walks so the borough's straight blocks look straighter. Come the last week of May the whole town turns out for the Race of the Saints, and there is real reason for a lawn to be at its best when the street fills up like that. Behind the houses the ground climbs toward the old culm banks the hills have taken back into green, Lackawanna County soil that had to be coaxed. Small lots done right add up to a neighborhood.
