About Straub's All in One Service

The villages strung along the valley — Weedville, Force, Byrnedale — hold their green late, and the mowing season up here is short enough that you take it seriously. Every dry stretch gets used: cutting on schedule, trimming tight along walks, porches and posts, hauling off what the season drops on the grass twice a year. Elk County ground is uneven and rooty in places, so a good finish takes more reading of a yard than flat country ever asks for. When it comes together, a mowed lawn against that wall of Allegheny timber has real contrast to it. That is the pleasure in the work — a small piece of order held against an enormous amount of woods.
