About Pymatuning Property Maintenance

Jamestown sits at the head of Pymatuning, where the lake widens out and the wind off that water decides a good deal about the year. In the growing season it means lawns that come on steadily and dry slowly — mowing on schedule, trimming along gravel drives and fence lines, cleanups in spring and again in fall. In winter it means snow arriving off the lake in bands and simply continuing: plowing the drives, clearing the walks, salting the ice that forms while the town sleeps. Looking after a place year-round out here is less a job than a habit you keep. The reward is a property that looks cared for in July and is passable at six on a January morning.
