About Raintree Services Inc.

South of York the country rolls away in long farm ridges, and Jacobus sits up on one of them with the reservoir woods spread out below. Raintree Services Inc. knows those oaks — the ones on the park side of the road that have been shading the same hollow since before the borough had sidewalks. Winter is pruning weather, when the structure of a tree is plain and a cut heals into the next season's growth; the rest of the year brings tree trimming for clearance and tree removal when an oak is finished. Squall lines come across the Codorus valley in a hurry, and storm damage cleanup afterward is a matter of getting the lane open, then getting the yard back. The measure of a day is a tidy cut, a lawn swept clear, and a tree that still looks like itself.
