About Ray Winters & Sons

North toward Clymer and Dixonville the driveways get long, the fields open wide, and one night of wind can lay more snow across a lane than ever fell out of the sky. Ray Winters & Sons plows that country — the quarter-mile farm lane, the pull-off beside the barn, the turnaround a loaded truck actually needs. Drifts are cut back to bare ground and pushed clear of the road end, so the township berm cannot undo an hour's work in thirty seconds. Steps and landings get cleared by hand and then treated, because that is where the day really begins. Out here an open lane is not a convenience; it is whether the day happens at all.
