Stumps Tree & Landscape

About Stumps Tree & Landscape

Some storms show up in Imperial at suppertime, the first flakes turning gold under the porch lights while the hollows below the ridge road fill with grey. Stumps Tree & Landscape reads that sky and goes out, pushing the storm back off drives and lots across these hills before it can set up hard. Western Pennsylvania snow comes heavy and wet as often as it comes light, and the difference between the two is a whole night's plan. Salt is placed with an eye on where the pitch of a drive will send water come morning, and corners are squared so the pile does not creep back by Thursday. The reward is small and complete — somebody backing out at six a.m. without giving the weather a second thought.
