About Kretschmer Excavating, LLC

In summer the Lackawaxen runs green and slow past Honesdale, and the flat ground along the old canal towpath grows grass like it means it. Kretschmer Excavating, LLC keeps those lawns cut — mowing on an even schedule, string trimming along walls and posts, edges kept true where turf meets stone and drive. River bottom soil is generous, which means the mower earns its keep from May straight through September. Cleanups bracket the season, taking winter's litter out in spring and the leaf drop out in fall. A lawn cut square and swept clean, with the Central Park bandstand just up the street, is the kind of small order that makes a river town feel tended.
