Crum Tree Service

About Crum Tree Service

Honesdale keeps its history close — the town that sent the country's first steam locomotive down a track, laid out tight between Irving Cliff and the water. Crum Tree Service works those narrow Main Street lots and the hill roads climbing out of them, where a maple can be older than the porch it shades. The days run from tree removal in spaces measured in feet to tree trimming that takes weight off a wire-side limb, plus pruning that keeps a shade tree honest. Come late October the leaves let go all at once, and the blows that follow bring storm damage cleanup: crowns lowered, brush gone, the sidewalk clear before the school bus. There is real satisfaction in a street that looks the way it did before the wind came through.
