Grassworks

About Grassworks

Snow that reaches Hershey often crosses open Lebanon Valley farmland first, so it arrives sideways and drifts where the fields meet the road. Grassworks is a snow removal business built for those nights, plowing driveways, opening walkways and spreading salt while the wind is still throwing new powder across the pavement down toward Swatara Creek. The truck goes out before the alarm clocks do, and the measure of the job is simple: black asphalt where there was a foot of white. Return passes follow the storm, because a February squall in Dauphin County rarely finishes on the first try.
