Better Than The Rest

About Better Than The Rest

A Hermitage year has two clear halves, and this outfit works both ends of it. Summer means mowing and edging on a steady rotation, the trimmer following fence lines and mailbox posts until a yard reads as one finished piece. Winter turns the same trucks toward plowing, salting and clearing the walks before anyone has to guess at the ice. Out at Hillcrest the 444 flags stand through both — green underfoot in July, snow-packed and bright in January — and the town keeps its ground the same way, all the way around the calendar. Better Than The Rest works Hermitage and the Shenango Valley towns nearby.
