The lawns around Harveys Lake rarely lie flat. They tilt off the Back Mountain hillsides, wrap around cottages and stone walls, and fall away toward the water in strips that have to be cut with some care. Hardy Landscaping takes them as they come — mowing the pitch, trimming what a deck cannot reach, edging walks and drives, keeping beds weeded and mulched so the borders hold their shape. In October, when the hills above the water go copper all at once, the leaf work begins and does not stop until the turf is clear again. There is a particular pride in a hillside yard that looks effortless from the road.
