Rays Snow Removal

About Rays Snow Removal

At four in the morning the Cameron Street corridor belongs to the plows and nothing else. Rays Snow Removal runs the flats along Paxton Creek and the streets that climb away from them, clearing lots and driveways while the storm is still deciding when to quit. Plowing, shoveling, salting — the sequence rarely changes, but the timing is everything, and a lot pushed once at three beats a lot pushed twice at seven. There is a plain satisfaction in black asphalt under a streetlight with clean windrows stacked well out of the way. Harrisburg gets up, finds the way in already open, and never has to think about it.
