About Matter Lawn Care LLC

Midtown wakes slowly in June, the light sliding down Green Street while the fountains at Italian Lake are still ticking away to nobody. Matter Lawn Care LLC works the narrow side strips and deep back yards that Harrisburg hands out in unequal portions — a postage stamp here, a half acre there — and gives each one the same attention. Mowing, trimming, edging, seasonal cleanups: the work is simple to name and hard to do well, which is exactly the point. There is a particular pleasure in the last pass, when the stripes line up with the sidewalk and the edge along the curb reads like a drawn line. By the time the day turns hot the mower is loaded and gone, and the block looks the way it was always meant to look.
