About All American Service Company Inc

From the top of Reservoir Park the city reads like a map in winter — the street grid going white block by block, rooftops smoking, the river a pale seam off to the west. All American Service Company Inc works the ground beneath that view, plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks and entrances, and treating the surfaces that turn slick first. Harrisburg storms arrive from three directions and rarely match the forecast exactly, so the work begins with a phone call at an unreasonable hour and ends whenever the last approach is open. There is honest pride in a walkway scraped to bare concrete and a lot with its snow stacked well out of the way instead of shoved into the next problem. By full daylight the hill looks the same as it always does, except every entrance below it is clear.
