AJ's Truck & Trailer Center

About AJ's Truck & Trailer Center

At three in the morning on Paxton Street, the only moving light for a block is an amber beacon turning slowly on a plow truck. AJ's Truck & Trailer Center takes on snow removal across the Harrisburg area — pushing lots and driveways open, cutting walkways down to the pavement, and spreading salt at the crown of a grade where meltwater will run and refreeze. A long night's route has its own rhythm: push, back-drag, feather the pile, roll on, then come back and do it again before anyone is awake to notice. Out near the Eisenhower interchange the traffic never entirely stops, and a cleared entrance is the difference between a business opening and a business waiting. When the last stop is finished and the sky over the hills goes gray-blue, the truck heads home with the blade still steaming.
