About Brandon's Services

Snow comes down the gap before it ever reaches the valley floor, and by four in the morning Galbraith Gap Road is a white ribbon between dark trees. Brandon's Services is out in that hour, plowing driveways across Harris Township while the rest of the township is still asleep under quilts. A pass down, a pass back, the banks pushed wide so the next storm has somewhere to go; walkways shoveled to the doorsill and treated where ice likes to hide. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway that is already open when the porch light comes on. Winter here runs long enough that the work turns into a rhythm — squall, plow, quiet, repeat.
