Rollick Mowing

About Rollick Mowing

Saturday morning in the borough, dew still heavy, and the alleys behind the brick rowhouses are quiet enough to hear a mower start up three streets over. Rollick Mowing takes Hanover a yard at a time: cutting on a regular schedule, string-trimming the corners a deck can't reach, edging the sidewalk so the strip out front reads sharp from the curb. Town lots here are small and shaped by a century of fences and garages, which makes neatness a matter of patience more than horsepower. The reward is a block that looks looked-after, one property and then the next one down. Grass grows fast in this valley, and the whole trick is never falling behind it.
