About Landscaping by Gaffney

Wind coming off Marsh Creek Lake has a way of putting teeth into a mild forecast, and Chester County storms often arrive as rain and finish as ice. Landscaping by Gaffney reads that turn and gets out in front of it — plowing driveways, clearing walkways and steps by hand, spreading salt on the surfaces that glaze over first. The satisfaction is narrow and real: an apron of blacktop opened up with a clean edge to it, finished before the second band comes through. Nobody photographs that. Everybody notices it. In Glenmoore, winter service comes down to being there early and then being there again.
