About Almony's Outdoors, Inc.

Glen Rock settles into a bowl of hills, a borough of stone and steep side streets with the old rail line laid out below it as a walking trail. Almony's Outdoors, Inc. keeps yards here in both directions of the year: mowing, edging and string trimming through the growing months, then plowing, shoveling and salting the drives when the hills go pale. Summer work is a matter of lines — a cut that runs true across a slope, a border cleaned back to the walk. Winter work is a matter of hours — being out while the borough is still dark, so the first car of the morning finds pavement instead of drift. Both come down to the same thing: a property that looks cared for the moment someone pulls in. Spring and fall cleanups bracket the whole of it.
