About Roddy Landscaping

Wind is the real story on the open ground west of Gilbertsville, where a Pennsylvania German barn breaks the sweep of a field and the snow stacks up wherever it finds a windbreak. Roddy Landscaping reads that ground all winter, plowing out driveways and parking areas, shoveling walkways, salting the shaded strip along the north side of a house that never thaws on its own. A drift can rebuild itself by noon, which is why the second pass matters as much as the first. Coming back down a lane at dusk and finding it still open is its own kind of pride. This is what fills the calendar from the first squall to the last gray thaw.
