Aarmark Land Management

About Aarmark Land Management

Snow reaches this corner of northern Allegheny County in long grey bands that ride down off the Erie shore and let go over the Bakerstown ridges. Aarmark Land Management is out in it while the rest of Gibsonia is still asleep — plow lights swinging across driveways, the blade finding gravel edges by feel. The work is clearing: drives and lots opened, walkways and steps shoveled down to the concrete, salt laid where meltwater will refreeze before sunrise. By the time the school buses hiss past on the road toward the county line, everything is open and the day can simply begin. That is the whole reward — a morning that goes ordinary because somebody made it so.
