Solid Oak Tree Service

About Solid Oak Tree Service

Buffalo Creek comes down out of the hills and empties into the Allegheny right at Freeport, an old canal town wedged between the water and the slope. Big sycamores and silver maples take the riverbank, and the yards above them sit under trees that were tall before the rail bed ever became a trail. Solid Oak Tree Service removes the ones that have gone brittle, trims what leans hard over a house or a shed, and prunes so a young tree grows into its spot instead of over it. August storms roll up the river valley and leave limbs everywhere; the cure is a long day of saws and a yard swept back to green. Afterward the light off the water comes through again, and the lawn dries out instead of staying damp all week.
