About RT Industries

Route 356 leaves Freeport in a long climb, and once you reach the open ground at the top the wind will begin refilling a cleared lot before the taillights are out of sight. RT Industries runs the night against that — plowing lots and drives, stacking snow where it can't blow back across the pavement, then spreading salt on the glaze that forms in the small hours. Storms come into Armstrong County out of the northwest, dry and stubborn, and the second pass usually matters more than the first. Businesses along the corridor need their entrances open before the earliest shift, and homes on the back roads need a lane wide enough for the mail. Clean black asphalt at sunrise, after a night of nothing but white, is a good thing to leave behind.
