About Harpster’s Services

October along the Gatesburg road is all rust and gold on the ridge under a hard blue sky, and it is the busiest stretch of the year for anyone holding a mower and a rake. Harpster's Services handles that push — final cuts, leaf cleanups, trimming and edging, bed work heading into dormancy — after running mowing routes from the first flush of spring. When the first plowable inch lands, the work turns to clearing driveways and lots, opening walks, and putting salt down on the pitch of a country drive. This is karst country, sinkhole country, ground that drains strangely and rewards anyone who learns it. Knowing that map is half the trade; leaving every property looking finished is the other half.
