Cutting Edge Service

About Cutting Edge Service

The West Branch of the Susquehanna runs cold past Farrandsville, and on summer mornings the fog lies flat on the water until the sun clears Bald Eagle Mountain and lifts it off. Cutting Edge Service mows and trims the lawns along that river bench, edges the walks and drives, and hauls off the leaves when the hillsides turn. River-bottom ground grows thick and then grows again, so the cutting stays steady from May right through the first hard frost. Below the old furnace stack the yards fall away toward the water, and getting an even line on that grade takes a patience worth having. Downriver toward Lock Haven the work is the same, only flatter.
