Lawn Sharks

About Lawn Sharks

July at midday in Fallowfield Township, the hillside yards bake and the shade under the sycamores is the only cool thing for a quarter mile. Lawn Sharks works the heat of it — mowing steep grades and terraced back lots, trimming what a mower cannot reach, edging walks and drives so they read crisp from the road. Cutting a slope well is its own skill, since the pass has to sit level even when the ground refuses to. By evening the yard looks flat and finished from the street, which is the whole trick of it. The Mon Valley is built on hills, and the lawns running up their sides are worth every extra minute.
