About LM Wander & Sons Landscaping

September in the grape country east of Erie smells like Concord vines, and the light turns gold a full hour earlier than it did in July. LM Wander & Sons Landscaping is on its mowing rounds then, cutting, trimming and edging while the season still gives, gathering leaves as the ridge above the lake changes color. By January those same roads are drifted shut and the trucks are out plowing drives, opening walks and treating ice where the wind has packed it hard as stone. It's a fine thing to hand back — a lawn still holding its shape in October, a driveway cleared to the surface in the middle of a long winter. The tools change; what they're for doesn't.
