Gerlach Property Maintenance

About Gerlach Property Maintenance

Erie gets its winter delivered straight off the water, and the squall lines that build over the lake can bury a driveway between supper and sunrise. Gerlach Property Maintenance works the hours before the city wakes, when the streetlights are still orange over the snow and Presque Isle sits out in the dark like a long white arm around the bay. Plowing, shoveling, salting and ice control — the work is simple to name and hard to do well, and it comes down to a clean pass right to the pavement and a walkway that holds underfoot. There is a particular pride in pulling away from a property at six in the morning with the drive open, the mailbox reachable, the salt laid where the shade will keep ice all day. When the next band comes ashore off the lake, they go back out and do it again.
