About Allied Land Services
Erie takes its winter straight off the water — the lake stays open, the wind picks up its load, and it puts the whole thing down on the city in bands that can bury a parking lot between shifts. Allied Land Services works those overnight hours down along the bayfront and up the State Street grade, pushing lots clear and stacking the piles where they will not blind a driver pulling out. Sidewalks are opened and treated, entrances kept walkable, and the painted lines show again by the time the first car arrives. Then another band comes ashore and the lot gets pushed a second time, and a third, as many as the night asks for. Morning in Erie is a plowed lot under a low sky, and somebody was up all night making it look effortless.
