About Burkhouse Contracting

The Driftwood Branch of the Sinnemahoning runs cold through the bottom of Emporium, and the mountains on either side keep that cold right where they put it. Winter in Cameron County is not a visit — it settles in around Thanksgiving and holds. Burkhouse Contracting plows through it: driveways and lots opened, walkways and steps shoveled out, salt and grit laid where the shade never lets go. Steep hollow drives and long mountain lanes take more than one pass and get them. The reward is a road out at first light, when the valley is still blue and nothing else has moved.
