About Urban Forestry of Pennsylvania

Snow does something particular to a street lined with old trees — it loads the branches, dims the sound, and turns a familiar East Hempfield block into somewhere quieter than it was. Urban Forestry of Pennsylvania is out under those branches with the plow, clearing driveways, walks and lots while the township sleeps. Wet Pennsylvania snow is heavy going, and moving it well means knowing where to stack it so both the next storm and the spring melt have somewhere to go. Salt goes on steps, aprons and the shaded stretches that never catch midday sun. Morning arrives to clear pavement and trees still holding their white, which is the best version of a winter day.
